Pony Picnic Walk

Enjoy a 4 mile circular walk along the Devon country lanes with a friendly pack pony. Whilst the ponies get ready with their packs, we'll take you through our introduction to pony handling. Then, we'll set out along the Devonshire country lanes, taking in the views of the beautiful countryside on the way. You'll have a friendly assistant for each pony to guide you both along the way.

Our route takes us down to the Little Dart river, where we often stop for a riverside picnic lunch. Whilst we eat our lunch, the ponies will happily graze...you can even take them down to the river for a paddle. We have a variety of lovely picnic spots to choose from - in woodland, in an orchard and in grassy farmland overlooking the Little Dart valley.

After lunch, we'll continue our journey through the quiet village of East Worlington and back to Horseford Farm.

You'll have to keep an eye out for local wildlife along the way. We've spotted barn owls and red deer out during the day.

The whole Pony Picnic experience will last around 4 hours.

Longer or shorter walks are available on request prior to booking.

Pony Picnic Walk Prices:

Available options:

• An adult, or child 12+, leading a pony: £39 per person


• 2 adults sharing a pony: £25 per person


• 2 children sharing a pony: £23 per child


• 1 adult and 1 child sharing a pony: £45 total price


• Accompanying adult walker (no pony): £10


• Children under 4 yrs, with a carrier or pushchair: No charge.
