Pony Walk
Our "Pony Walk" gives, both adults and children, a unique opportunity to get out in the Devon countryside and enjoy a hands-on experience with our native, rescue, ponies.
You can choose from either a 1 hour pony walk, or a 2 hour, circular trek.
First, we'll show you how to lead a pony, then we'll take you walking with your pony along the quiet Devon lanes, and on some treks, across grassland too. We call it pony trekking "on foot". It's fun, great exercise, and relaxing...The ponies walk at a gentle pace and there are plenty of places to stop for a rest, or to enjoy the views along the way.
No experience of horses and ponies is necessary to come on a Pony Walk. We provide all your safety equipment, and there is always an experienced handler with each pony to assist you on the trek. As with the other walks, there is an "Introduction to pony handling demonstration" before we set out. Our ponies have great personalities and they are the perfect size for both adults and children to interact with.
We run Pony Walks all year round. During the summer, we offer evening Pony Walks - it's the perfect way to relax at the end of a day. It could even be a birthday treat to finish the day before going to one of the local pubs to enjoy an evening meal.
Pony Walk Prices:
(1 hour)
An adult or child leading a pony: £18 per person
2 adults, or children sharing a pony: £10 per person
Children under 4 yrs (in a pushchair or child carrier) go free
2 hour option
Available options:
- An adult, or child 12+, leading a pony: £30 per person
- 2 adults or children sharing a pony: £15 per person
- Children under 4 yrs (in a pushchair or child carrier) go free
